Winter in Morzine
Morzine is a typical Savoyard resort, located in the Haute Savoie region, just a 1 hour drive from Geneva Airport.
At the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area, Morzine combines a family feel and bustling village with an expansive ski area. With a combination of 12 interlinked French and Swiss resorts (Morzine, Avoriaz, Les Gets, Châtel to name a few) there is 650km of pistes available, with skiing for all ability levels.
Ski Area
From the village, you have quick and easy access to the whole of the Portes du Soliel ski area.
The Portes du Soleil offers something for all. If a beginner, the accessible greens on either side of the valley, either out towards Les Gets or up to Avoriaz, offers great places to start. For the more adventurous, the expansive area offers a wide variety of challenging runs with plenty to explore.

For the majority of guests we recommend the full Portes du Soleil ski pass which gives you access to the full ski area throughout your stay. However there are passes available for specific areas and beginner passes available for those first time skiers.

Equipment Hire
For ski and snowboard hire we recommend either Caribou Sports or Doorstep Skis.

Caribou Sports have shops located at both the bottom of the Super Morzine and Pleny lifts, which provides convenient access at any point during your stay. All Geeski guests benefit from discounted hire, which you can get through following this link.

The Village
Morzine is a traditional, vibrant town located in the centre of one of the biggest ski and mountain bike areas in the world.

Morzine offers a huge array of shops, restaurants and bars with plenty of activities aside from the mountain sports.

There is an aquatic centre with 3 indoor pools, an ice rink, skate park and adventure trails plus much more to keep you and your family entertained on and off the slopes!
