Winter in St Gervais
St Gervais is a traditional, picturesque mountain village, located in the Haute Savoie region, just a 1 hour drive from Geneva Airport.
At the centre of the Evasion Mont Blanc ski area, St Gervais combines an intimate, family feel, with an expansive ski area. With 5 combined resorts (St Gervais, Megève, Les Contamines, Combloux and La Giettaz) there is 445km of pistes available, with skiing for all ability levels.
Ski Area
From the village, access to the interlinked St Gervais and Megève ski area is fast and efficient, with the Bettex lifts taking you from the edge of the village to the centre of the ski area.
The Evasion Mont Blanc Area offers something for all. If a beginner, the accessible greens at the top of the St Gervais Bettex and Bettex-Arbois lift offer a great places to start. Whilst there are 33 black runs and many off-piste opportunities available for the more adventurous.

In addition to this it there is great skiing available in Les Contamines, the most snow sure region of the valley. It is a short drive from the chalet and we will provide transport to and from the area. You can view the full area piste map here.
We recommend the Evasion Mont Blanc ski pass for most guests which gives you access to all the ski areas throughout your stay. However there are beginner passes available for those first time skiers.

Equipment Hire
For ski and snowboard hire we recommend Unlimited Sports. They have a large selection of great equipment and friendly, helpful staff.

They are located near the centre of St Gervais village and we provide transport to and from the shop throughout your stay if necessary.

Ski School
For ski and board lessons we would recommend ESF in St Gervais.
There are a number of English speaking instructors available. On offer are group and private lessons, off piste and ski touring options as well as many more throughout the season.

The Village
St Gervais is a handsome 19th century spa town set in a narrow river gorge. This quaint village far from the purpose-built ski stations of recent years.
The streets lined by interesting food shops, cosy and sophisticated bars and an array of restaurants typically specialising in local Savoyard cuisine.
St Gervais also has an olympic ice rink, thermal baths and Thursday morning market, whilst sledging, snowshoeing and Nordic skiing are available nearby.
