Our local guide will take you at a leisurely pace and although you will be out on the mountains for most of the day, you will be taken on routes that follow well marked trails with no huge ascents or vertiginous ridges.
​
You will take plenty of rests so you have time to enjoy the mountain tranquility and be shown the local wildlife and wilderness highlights.
The average ascent on this holiday is 900m in a day, just enough to feel you have really immersed yourself in the mountains!
Holiday Details
​
Ideal for fit and experienced hill walkers, this holiday focusses on the physical challenge of alpine walking and the satisfaction of reaching the high mountain peaks, right next door to the Mont Blanc Massif.
A typical day will involve about 8 hours on the mountain with upwards of 1200m height gain a day.
​
There may be some use of fixed ropes to pass occasional exposed areas and some ridge walking, but no previous climbing experience is required.
​
You will always be in the capable hands of our qualified guides!

A 20% discount is available for children under 12 and those sleeping in the Chocolat (bunk) room.

Group discounts are available for groups of 10 or more.

All Summer holidays in Samoëns are Saturday to Saturday.

If required Chalet Grande Ourse can be booked with Chalet Petite Ourse to accommodate groups of up to 19.

To secure a booking, a deposit equivalent to 25% of the holiday value is required, and then full payment is due 10 weeks before your stay. All booking terms & conditions can be found here.

*All catering is available 6 days a week. On chalet staffs day off a continental breakfast and packed lunch will be set up for you, and transfers to your activities provided as usual.
